How to take a screenshot on iPhone
A screenshot saves a picture of whatever is on your screen — like a suspicious text or email — so you can send it to ScamProtector and get a clear answer.
iPhones work a little differently depending on the model. Start with the steps below. If your iPhone has a round Home button at the bottom, see the tip after the steps.
-
Open what you want to capture
Go to the text message, email, or web page you're worried about, so it is showing on your screen.
-
Press two buttons at the same time
Quickly press — and then let go of — the Side button on the right edge and the Volume Up button on the left edge, both at the same moment.
-
Watch for the flash
The screen flashes white and you may hear a camera-click sound. A small picture of your screen appears for a moment in the bottom-left corner.
-
Find your screenshot
Open the Photos app, tap Albums, then open the Screenshots album. Your picture is saved there.
-
Send it to ScamProtector
Open the screenshot, tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up), and send the picture by text message to ScamProtector.
